Professor Denise Wood AM

Denise is an Adjunct Professor at the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC). She held senior leadership positions at UniSC from 2014 to 2019 as Pro Vice-Chancellor (Students) and Pro Vice-Chancellor (Learning and Teaching Futures) and was previously Professor and Director at Central Queensland University. Denise chairs the Australasian Council of Undergraduate Research and is a member of the Commonwealth Equity in Higher Education Panel and the Queensland Disability Research Network. She is a consultant in higher education and equity, focusing on inclusive design, student experience, access and participation, and governance. Denise’s contributions have earned her several awards, including Member of the Order of Australia (AM), a Telstra Award, SA Great Award and a national learning and teaching citation.
